An excellent source for some of the latest thinking on nutrition. You can download abstracts of most of the scientific studies cited, without a subscription and there’s also an archive containing a number of full–length articles.

High5 is an innovative British sports nutrition company that has pioneered a number of new sports drinks technologies including 2:1 glucose:fructose energy drinks. Its products are very popular with elite endurance athletes and represent excellent value for money.
SIS is another innovative British sports nutrition company, producing a great range of innovative sports drinks and gels. Like High5, its products are keenly priced and very popular with elite endurance athletes.
AMERICAN COLLEGE OF SPORTS MEDICINE (ACSM)
The ACSM is the largest sports medicine and exercise science organisation in the world and its website is packed with useful information on scientific research, education, and practical applications of sports medicine and exercise science to maintain and enhance physical performance, fitness, health, and quality of life.
Headed up by James Marshall, Excelsior offers expert advice and support to teams, coaches and individual sports players of all levels. Excelsior also offers expertise in working with younger athletes.
Like the USDA, the UK’s Food Standards Agency website offer plenty of good general advice on nutrition news and healthy eating, albeit at a more basic level.
The USDA is an excellent site containing a wealth of nutritional information (click on the ‘food and nutrition’ link) including databases of the nutrient contents of over 13,000 foods, interactive menu planners and much more.
US LIBRARY OF MEDICINE (PubMed)
PubMed is a superb source of information about anything relating to health, sport and medicine. The best feature is a searchable database that allows you to access over 19 million abstracts (many of which are linked to full articles) from over 30,000 journals.
If you live in the Northeast, don’t buy a bike without chatting to Mark, Tony or Chris at Bicycle Repairman first. Their knowledge and service is simply second to none and sets a standard that very few other dealers come close to.
News and reviews of the latest bikes and gear for cycling as well as up and coming events and workshop guides. Bike Radar has some very active cycling forums.
British Cycling isn’t just the organisation that returned from Beijing with 8 Olympic gold medals, it also has a great website packed with information on all aspects of cycling!
Another excellent cycling website packed with reviews and news but oriented more towards road cycling.
